BILLING

What will this cost in your currency?

Our prices are set in Bangladeshi Taka. Use the converter below to see the same amount in US Dollars or Indian Rupees, using the exact rates our billing system applies to your invoice.

Rates are synchronised from our billing system.

HOW IT WORKS

What these rates mean for your bill

Four things worth knowing before you order, so nothing on the invoice comes as a surprise.

Taka is the base price

Every plan and domain we sell is priced in Bangladeshi Taka first. The other currencies are converted from that figure, so the taka amount is the one that never shifts underneath you.

The same rates as your invoice

These figures are read straight from the billing system that issues your invoices, not from a public exchange feed. What the converter shows is what the cart will charge.

Your bank adds its own rate

If you pay with an international card, your bank converts using its own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. A small gap between our figure and your statement is normal.

Rates move, your renewal price does not

A renewal is quoted in the currency your account is set to. If the exchange rate moves, the amount in that currency stays the same until we change the price list itself.

QUESTIONS

Billing and currency

Google shows the mid-market rate, which is the midpoint between what banks buy and sell at. Nobody actually trades at that rate. Our billing system uses a settlement rate that accounts for the cost of receiving international payments, so it will usually sit slightly apart from the figure you see in a search result.

Whichever currency your client account is set to when the invoice is generated. Customers in Bangladesh are normally billed in Taka, and international customers in US Dollars. You can see and change the setting in your client area before you place an order.

They are pulled from our billing system on a regular sync, so the converter reflects the rates currently in force there rather than a live market feed. For an exact figure on a large order, add the item to your cart and the checkout total will be definitive.

Yes. If you would rather be billed in Taka, open a ticket and we will switch your account currency. This often works out cheaper, because you avoid your bank’s foreign transaction fee.

No. Your renewal is quoted in your account currency and stays at that figure until we change the underlying price list. Movement in the exchange rate on its own does not increase what you pay.
