Registries set a standard wholesale price for every year of a domain. Some extensions are discounted heavily in the first year to attract new registrations, and that discount does not apply again at renewal. The table above shows both figures side by side so there are no surprises twelve months later.
Yes. The domain is registered in your name, with your details as the registrant, not ours. You can view and edit the WHOIS record from your client area at any time, and you are free to transfer the domain away whenever you wish.
Most generic extensions such as .com and .net complete within five to seven days once you approve the transfer. Country extensions vary. You will need to unlock the domain at your current registrar and give us the authorisation code, and we will guide you through both steps.
Yes, domains can be ordered on their own. Several of our hosting plans also include a free domain for the first year, which is usually the cheaper route if you need both.
We send reminders by email before the expiry date. After expiry most extensions enter a grace period during which you can still renew at the normal price. Once that ends, a redemption fee applies and recovery is not guaranteed, so we strongly recommend leaving auto-renew switched on.
