Several of our hosting packages include a free domain. Lifetime Free Domain means the renewal cost of that domain keeps being covered by us for as long as you keep renewing the hosting plan it came with. There is no year-one-only catch: the free renewal continues year after year, provided the hosting stays active.
This article covers the Lifetime Free Domain benefit. Some plans instead include a domain that is free for the first year only — see What is a First-Year Free Domain? if that matches your package.
In short: the domain renews at no charge every time your hosting renews on time. If the hosting is not renewed, the free renewal benefit stops from that point onward.
Which plans include it #
Not every package includes a free domain, and not every domain extension qualifies. Eligible plans are marked clearly at checkout, and the eligible extensions are shown when you place the order. See our Free Domain Plan for the current list, or ordering a domain for how the options are presented.
What renewed continuously means #
The benefit is tied to your hosting renewal, not to a fixed number of years. Each time your hosting invoice is paid on or before its due date, the domain next year is covered automatically as part of that renewal. There is nothing extra to request and no separate domain invoice while this continues.
What happens in each situation #
| Hosting renewed on time | The domain renews free along with it. Nothing to do. |
| Hosting renewal is late | Pay the overdue invoice as soon as possible. Once the hosting is active again, the free domain renewal resumes with it. |
| Hosting is cancelled or not renewed | The free renewal benefit stops. The domain remains registered until its own expiry date, but from its next renewal onward the standard registration price applies, the same as any domain bought on its own. |
| You switch to a plan that does not include a free domain | The standard price of the domain is deducted from the switch, since the domain was only free as part of the original package. See switching to another hosting plan. |
The domain is still yours either way #
Whether the renewal is free or paid, the domain is registered in your name and stays under your control throughout. Losing the free-renewal benefit does not mean losing the domain, it simply means the next renewal is billed at the standard rate like any other domain. You are always free to keep renewing it at that rate, or to transfer it elsewhere.
